"We were saddened to hear of Brian's death. He was a loyal and professional member of the football umpiring fraternity and, in my time, advised and nurtured many up-coming umpires. He was unstinting in his dedication to the task and never missed an opportunity to offer his services. He was a gracious man. Best wishes to Julie, Peter, Roslyn and families."
