Mrs Dawn Josephine Cleary RN DSG (nee "Byrnes")

10/07/1933-14/11/2020

For more than 65 of her 87 years, Mum was the cherished and uneclipsed "Sunrise" to our dad, her Ted.

Loved dearly by us her children: Debs, Jim, Terry and Sean - and partners: Bruce, Betty, Gay and Marisol.

Adored by her 11 grandchildren: Ben, Beth, Alissa, James, Jodie, Nick, Kate, Paul, Brendan, Will and Elli, their partners, and 13 great-grandchildren.

From her earliest moments until her later years, Dawn was ever the carer: as daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Dawn's compassion and caring for others was manifest too, outside of her family, in every aspect of her life as a nurse, educator, palliative-care sister, grief-counsellor, and leader within Adelaide's broader Catholic community.

A Private Funeral Service will be held.

Dawn's Funeral Service can be live-streamed at this webpage of WEDNESDAY, November 18, 2020 at 9:45am for 10:00am commencement, by accessing the link below:

"On my what an amazing life and example of love and compassion. I was blessed to know Dawn and the Cleary clan over many, many years. I particularly remember Dawn helping to nurse my grandmother in her final years at Mary Potter. Praise be to God for the way Dawn gave life and love to so many and lived her faith in an utterly authentic way."
