"A man I admired for so many years. I have many memories of "Uncle Geoff" as we grew up together. I always loved it when he came to school on Arbour Day to grant us a half day holiday! That boat trip along the Murray will always stay with us. Sorry that we can't be there to hold your hand, but know that you are constantly in our thoughts. Love from Julie and Jim"

"Campbelltown has lost one of its great leaders; a humble person who did so many great things for his community and his country, who led Campbelltown at a time when so much change occurred as it transitioned from a rural to suburban area. I feel truly blessed to have shared Geoff's company on several occasions. My sincere condolences to Jude, Jenny and all of Geoff's family. May he rest in peace."
