"To Joe, Jane, Mandy and David,
What a beautiful service and what a beautiful family you have. The stories told of a wonderful life well-lived and the images were the perfect summary of your time together. Lots of loved-filled events. We’re so very lucky to have got a glimpse of the Halls up close. Pol will be sorely missed but her spirit lives on in you all.

"We have fond memories of Pauline.
Visiting my Aunty Jean as a child, she would often be baking and would give us kids an iced cupcake or biscuit. She also engaged us in conversation, something that not a lot of adults did at that time. Pauline was also like this – a friendly and generous person. She was also a true beauty and never failed to exude glamour.
Patsey and I were bridesmaids at Pauline’s wedding and I can still remember the pale blue dresses with their tiny white polka dots. We all loved Joe’s sense of humour, and I think that was the big attractor (more than his good looks) for Pauline.
We were also there at Aunty Jean’s funeral and then later to see baby Jane and experience Pauline’s lifelong anguish of not being with her mother when she died. Pauline never failed to comment how much Patsey reminded her of her mother.
Our deepest sympathies to Joe, Jane, David and Amanda and their families.
Pamela, Patsey and Vanessa"

"To Dear Polly,
A grand lady of the Australian turf.
I have so many treasured memories of your kindness and hospitality at Bray Street through the ‘80s, ‘90s & 2000s.
Nothing lasts forever, but your enduring partnership with Joe and the exciting ride you took us on with generations of young horses burns bright in our memory and will never be forgotten by the Menzies Family.
We will all miss you dearly.
Heartfelt sympathies to David, Jane and Mandy as well as their families.
