"Our sincere condolences to Rolfs family.
With the help of Chris Stone in Port Lincoln , Birgitta and I had the opportunity to have the fishing trip of our life together with Rolf on the 30th of November 1990.
We had an excellent time aboard Calypso, with many good laughs, good eating and drinking and and especially catching a Great White weighing 882 kilo. Really exciting.
He realized my dream.
I wish we could have had another beer together, Rolf.
Rest In Peace Rolf!

"Our most sincere condolences to all of Rolf's relations. Our association with Rolf is a long one as we are associated with many of the facets of Game Fishing and that association brought us into close contact in several locations both Nationally and Internationally.
Rolf always presented himself as the real Ambassador in all he did. His outstanding greeting on every occasion was real and sincere.
In our thoughts always, Albert and Pauline."

"First met Rolf in 1985 on a game fishing club tournament at Port Lincoln, and to me he was a larger than life legend that I had read so many stories about. What transpired from that moment turned into a 36 year friendship that encompassed fishing, partying, laughing and becoming life long friends. Rolf was alway the one with a smile, he faced life full on and burnt the candle at both ends. He was a sportsman, a champion, and gentleman, an inspiration to those around him and a mentor. I shall miss his sense of humor, his infectious smile, in latter years he was one of our Wednesday lunch crew of oldies that just enjoyed the day with hours spent reminiscing over a Bacardi and a beer.
His generosity was only eclipsed with his love for life and family. I cherish the years that I got to spend with him, and his passing has left a hole in all our hearts that can never be filled. He fought the fight of his life and went out as proud as he lived. May you Rest In Peace old mate."
